These are the procedures that are intended to handle high volume VFR operations into and out of ADS. They are intended to be a tool that can be used to make a more uniform operation for VFR arrivals and departures.
Note : The GPS Coordinates for the relevant reporting points are the same for both 16 and 34.
South Flow
Arrivals
There are three standard recoveries when ADS Airport is landing/departing runway 16.
All aircraft maintain 2500ft until assigned otherwise by ATC. Check in prior to reaching the reporting points.
Ikea 16 Recovery

Cross over the Frisco IKEA at 2500ft and proceed direct to ADS. ADS Tower will assign pattern entry.

Plano 16 Recovery

Route begins over the land bridge between Lake Lavon and Lake Ray Hubbard. Proceed direct to the George Bush Tollway and Highway 75 Intersection in Plano. Cross over the Collin Creek Mall, just North of the intersection. Continue westbound on the northern side of the George Bush Tollway. ADS Tower will assign pattern entry.

Skillman 16 Recovery

Route begins at the edge of the 2500ft Class B shelf, east of I-635. Proceed towards ADS on the northeast side of I-635, direct to the Skillman St. Bridge on I-635. Remain northeast of I-635 to ADS. Tower will assign pattern entry.

Runway 16 Departures

North/Northwest (Including TKI and DTO) : Remain eastbound/on tower assigned heading at 2000ft until east of Preston Rd. Turn northbound after passing Preston Rd. Remain at 2000ft until north of George Bush Tollway. Use caution for westbound arrivals at 2500ft on the north side of GBT – climb when clear.
East : Remain south of GBT and north of I-635. Climb at your discretion when clear of the Class B.
North Flow

Ikea 34 Recovery

Route begins over Frisco IKEA. Depart IKEA southbound along Dallas North Tollway then direct to ADS. ADS Tower will assign pattern entry.

Skillman 34 Recovery

Route begins at the edge of the 2500ft Class B shelf, east of I-635. Proceed towards ADS on the northeast side of I-635, direct to the Skillman St. Bridge on I-635. Remain northeast of I-635 to ADS. Tower will assign pattern entry.

Runway 34 Departures

North/Northwest : Remain west of the Dallas North Tollway until north of Frisco IKEA at 2000ft, then proceed on course and climb at your discretion.
East : Remain south of George Bush Tollway and north of I-635. Climb at your discretion when clear of the Class B. If going north of the George Bush Tollway, remain at 2000ft until north of GBT and climb after crossing it – use caution for westbound arrivals along GBT at 2500ft. If going towards HQZ or to the South, use caution for arrivals east of I-635 at 2500ft.
